Overview of Focus on French Cinema 2013
Come and Spend the Weekend !
Come see 12 recent French and French-speaking movies - including 5 US premieres and 3 just released this week - but there is more to see and do at Focus on French Cinema 2013! The Opening Night Gala on Friday, March 8, featuring film Thérèse Desqueyroux, and a Silent Auction will be the first opportunity to meet with guests and dignitaries. You can also meet Gilles Bourdos (Director, Renoir), Anne Consigny (Actress, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet), Jean-François Sivadier (Stage Director in Becoming Traviata) and Christa Théret (Actress, Renoir) at the Saturday Morning Round Table Discussion, and post-movie Q&As.
All throughout the weekend, La Rue des Restaurants will provide French food to delight your palate. It will be located right next to the PepsiCo Theater, where all movies will be screened.
The whole family can come to our Sunday morning Family Film, Little Lion. Purchase College students will be working with filmmaker Mathieu Lalande as part of a student competition with the theme "Pardon My French", where teams will create short films in just one week! The winning films will be screened on Sunday night.
