Focus on French Cinema will kick-off the March 8-10 film festival presented by the Alliance Francaise of Greenwich in partnership with Purchase College, NY with a pre-festival screening of The Big Picture ( L'homme qui voulait vivre sa vie), directed by Eric Lartigau starring Romain Duris, Niels Arestrup and Marina Fois at the Avon Theatre in Stamford. This film is a critically-acclaimed thriller, that brilliantly draws in the audience. Described as "The Talented Mr. Ripley for the age of Google" by Stephen Holden, the NY Times critic also puts it in "A select circle of twisty top-notch Gallic suspense movies that include Lucas Belvaux's "Rapt" and Guillaume Canet's "Tell No One."  Read our review from the Focus on French Cinema December Newsletter here.
