Gateways Music Festival

WHO: Dr. Paul Burgett, Chairman of the festival (VP/Senior Advisor to the President, University of Rochester) and Lee Koonce, President & Artistic Director of festival

WHEN: Tuesday, June 13th at the Floreano Riverside Convention Center

WHAT: Gateways is a biennial festival that has been in Rochester since 1995, and brings professional classical music of African descent to Rochester for a week long program of concerts and recitals. The festival attracts the most accomplished musicians in the nation and abroad.  They are members of major symphony orchestras, professors of music at college and university schools of music, free-lance artists and some very highly advanced students. Paul has been affiliated with the festival since it came to Rochester and currently is the chairman of its board of directors. Entirely volunteer organized and run, last year they forged a formal relationship with the Eastman School of Music and hired their first President and Artistic Director, Lee Koonce.

B2B Connections Tour at the
Newly Renovated Geva Theatre Center

Join us Tuesday, August 8th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. where Rotarians will get the opportunity to enjoy appetizers and cocktails then tour the newly renovated lobby, kitchen, lounges, as well as some backstage production areas that were all part of the recently completed Front and Center Capital Campaign. This $10M facelift was all part of making Geva a place where their patrons could feel more at home, and allow the opportunity to be open and available to the community. If you haven't been to Geva lately....you haven't been to Geva. The tour will offer Rotarians access to areas that are for community use, as well as a chance to see some of the behind-the-scenes shops where they make their magic.

Appetizers include: meatballs, three cheese arancini, bruschetta, Italian stuffed mushrooms and fire roasted corn and black bean fritters as well as a cash bar.

The cost is $30 per person to register click on the link below.
