B2B Breakfast Meeting
|
Join us Wednesday, March 8th at 7:45 a.m. in the Rotary Office Training Room for a breakfast meeting hosted by the B2B Committee. Guest speaker Ami Kassar, a Vistage member, is the founder and chief executive officer of Multifunding LLC, a Philadelphia-based consulting firm that specializes in helping business owners across the United States develop creative and cost-saving alternatives for their business debt needs and structure.
Kassar has been involved in business finance for two decades. He has advised the White House, The Treasury Department and The Federal Reserve Bank on the state of the financing markets. He writes a weekly column for inc.com and is frequently quoted in the national press on various small business issues.
Kassar will discuss how business strategy and financing strategy are intertwined. Often CEO's get stuck because they don't understand where their business is in a life cycle, what is inhibiting growth, and the best possible financing strategies at the right time.

The Friendship Committee needs your help
|
Do you know of any Rotarians who may be ill?
One of the functions of the Friendship Committee is to reach out to Rotarians who are confined to their home, the hospital, a rehab unit or nursing home due to a sustained illness. We have found that they really appreciate hearing from fellow Rotarians, whether with a card, a call or a visit. But we need your help. We can only make contact with those Rotarians who have been brought to our attention. So, if you hear about someone who should be contacted, please don't assume we know. You could be the only one who knows.
Please contact Myrna at 546-7435 x201 or [email protected] to convey the information.
Thank You

Rotary Friendship Exchange

Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) opportunities this year to host Australia District 9780 and/or travel to Finland District 1410 to 1420
The Rotary Friendship Exchange is an international exchange program for Rotarians and spouses. The RFE provides participants with the opportunity to better understand other cultures by staying in the homes of Rotarians in other countries and experience their district. In turn, their Rotarians visit our district and are hosted by our Rotarians.
Australia D9780 will be in our Finger lakes district from May 24th to June 7th. We are asking for volunteers to host one of the 5 couples for one of the three planned sessions from May 24-28, May 29-June 1 or 2, or June 2 or 3 to June 7.
The exchange to Finland will be for a period of two weeks from August 15th to August 29th of this year. There will be the opportunity to visit one of the two Finland districts. We have a limited opportunity to revisit D1410 that extends to beyond the Arctic Circle. Over twice the numbers of requests allowable were submitted for our enjoyable 2012 visit. We will, at the same time, also have an exchange to D1420 in southern Finland and Estonia to satisfy these popular destinations.
Requests for participation in these exchanges will be accepted until March 11th.
Please contact one of our RFE Committee members if you have any questions. Host volunteers have highest priority for future RFE trips and several exchanges will happen in 2017-2019 with RFEs being planned with Australia, France, Germany and South Africa.
RFE Committee members: Helen Gormont, Carl and Linda Grovanz, John and Maureen Hall, Jim Hughes, Bob and Cindy Hunt, Godfrey (Doc) Malchoff, Jean McMillan, Mike and Merle Platt and Vivian Ryan.
