News of YOUR Club
Downtown Development News

Join us Tuesday, January 17th at the Floreano Riverside Convention Center where our guest speaker will be Heidi N. Zimmer-Meyer. Heidi is currently President of the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC), where she has held a number of positions over the past 33 years.

Downtown Rochester is one of the fastest growing areas in our nine-county region. It is "everybody's neighborhood" and is changing rapidly, and is symbolic of how Rochester is turning the corner and growing again. Come hear the latest news about the astounding growth pattern in the heart of our region.

Sunshine Kids Gala Needs Your Help
The Sunshine Kids Gala is looking for your help as we put together the "Wine & Whiskey Pull" for this year's event. Guests will have an opportunity to purchase a wine cork with a number on it for $20 the night of the Gala; the number will be associated with a bottle of wine or whiskey they will go home with! This was a great hit last year so this year we would like to expand our pull to include at minimum 80 bottles of wine and 30 bottles of whiskey.

That being said we need your help - if you haven't had a chance to donate a bottle to the Gala we are asking if  you could bring one (minimum $15) to the Tuesday luncheon at the Convention Center on January 17th. If you are unable to attend the luncheon you can drop off anytime at the Rotary Office.

Thank you in advance for your support!

B2B Breakfast Meeting

Join us Wednesday, March 8th at 7:45 a.m.
i
n the Rotary Office Training Room for a breakfast meeting hosted by the B2B Committee. Guest speaker Ami Kassar, a Vistage member, is the founder and chief executive officer of Multifunding LLC, a Philadelphia-based consulting firm that specializes in helping business owners across the United States develop creative and cost-saving alternatives for their business debt needs and structure.

Kassar has been involved in business finance for two decades. He has advised the White House, The Treasury Department and The Federal Reserve Bank on the state of the financing markets. He writes a weekly column for inc.com and is frequently quoted in the national press on various small business issues.

Kassar will discuss how business strategy and financing strategy are intertwined. Often CEO's get stuck because they don't understand where their business is in a life cycle, what is inhibiting growth, and the best possible financing strategies at the right time.
