Forgotten Children - Lifting the
Wait for Children in Foster Care

Join us Tuesday, July 26th at the Floreano Riverside Convention Center where our guest speaker will be Charles Reaves, Executive Director of Children Awaiting Parents. 

Children Awaiting Parents (CAP) is a national, nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. For 40 years, they have been dedicated to finding adoptive homes for America's waiting children.

CAP's mission is to recruit foster and adoptive families across the United States for children who have been waiting the longest for a family. Their waiting children are often older, minorities, sibling groups who wish to be placed together, or children with emotional, mental and/or physical disabilities - children who are typically categorized as "special needs" or "hardest to place."

Over 200 Rotarians, alumni and friends gathered Wednesday night at the Sunshine Campus to celebrate the 95th birthday of Sunshine Camp! Look out for more pictures to come of the big celebration.

Putt Putt Tournament and Ice Cream Social

We are excited for the annual Putt Putt tournament at the Sunshine Campus being held on Wednesday, July 27th! The tournament is followed by carnival games and an ice cream social for our golfers. 

We are looking to get 18 volunteers per tee time (5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.) to golf with a group of campers and their counselors through 9 holes of miniature golf followed by an ice cream social and some carnival games for the kids!

If you are available for either OR both of the tee times please contact Heather in the Rotary Office and she will sign you up.

Launch a Ball Volunteers  

We need 12 volunteers for each Saturday night game this year. All you have to do is sell tennis balls before the game, as a volunteer, you'll get to enjoy the game for free.

Plus, there will be fireworks after each game!

The following are dates that volunteers are needed:

President Donna's Welcome Reception 


Please mark you calendars and plan on joining us Wednesday, August 17th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Pomodoro's (Monroe Ave.) for President Donna's Welcome Reception. Mingle with fellow Rotarians and welcome Donna Dedee as our new President.

We will enjoy appetizers including shrimp and crab cakes, chicken and beef skewers, stuffed meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, assorted wood fired pizzas and pie from Holy Childhood Bakery.

The cost is $32 per person and includes one drink ticket. Cash bar available following the use of the drink ticket.

Join us Monday, August 22nd at Midvale Country Club for our annual Sunshine Campus Golf Invitational. The tournament sells out each year so sign up today!

This year's tournament will tee off at 11:00 a.m. and golfers can expect a great day of golf at an amazing course!

Community Service Volunteer Opportunity -
Heritage Hero 5K + Mile Stroll & Roll 

Join your fellow members on Saturday, August 27th for the Heritage Hero 5K + Mile Stroll & Roll. Volunteers will help out at one of the water stop stations on the 5K course and then to cheer on the walkers at the finish line.

We are need of 8-10 volunteers, you will need to arrive at MCC by 7:30 a.m.
