Community Service Activity by Wheatland - Chili Senior Class
The Wheatland-Chili Senior Class participated in a Community Service activity at the Rotary Sunshine Camp on Wednesday, October 14th. We connected with the camp through one of the co-directors of Camp Haccamo, a member of the WC staff. Students of the class of 2016 worked together to help camp staff with fall clean-up outside as well as cleaning up cabins and common areas used by campers. The students were able to tour the campus and visit the famous tree house as well as participate in some team building activities. The group enjoyed the visit and are looking forward to more community service opportunities.

What is going on in the District?
Seeking Global Scholarship Applicants Rotary District 7120 with support from The Rotary Foundation offers the opportunity for a college graduate to apply for a $30,000 scholarship to be utilized for one or two years graduate study abroad. Study must be related to any one of six Areas of Focus for Rotary Foundation Global Grants. Studies must commence during the 2016-2017 academic year. Visit Rotary International's web site www.Rotary.org for details regarding the six areas of focus. Interested scholars should then contact the District 7120 Global Grant Scholarship committee chair, Kenneth T. Steadman, at [email protected] to indicate they will be sending him an application. Use the District 7120 Global Scholar Application Form which can be downloaded from the Foundation page of Rotary District 7120's website: www.rotary7120.org. Applications and associated documents are to be sent to Kenneth T. Steadman by February 1st, 2016. Interviews will be held March 6, 2016 in Geneva, NY for the accepted applications. We wish to encourage college graduates in the Rotary 7120 area that are not Rotarians or lineal relatives of Rotarians to apply for this valuable opportunity. Rotarians, please stimulate your friends to apply, contact local college and university placement offices, and announce this opportunity within your clubs.
