News of YOUR Club
Rochester Red Wings
Spring Update

Join us Tuesday, April 21st a the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center where our guest speaker will be Dan Mason, General Manager or the Red Wings.  Dan will tell us what to expect in the 2015 season and highlight all the promotions going on this summer at Frontier Field.

President Tracy's Journal

Beautiful day out at Locust Hill and the best was it was Fred Quirin's 39th Birthday (for the 60th time)!

Abraham Lincoln Said "You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn. You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."

I selected this quote as I felt it was appropriate given where we find ourselves today in this world. Our speaker, Professor Joe Fornieri spoke about his new book "Abraham Lincoln, Philosopher and Statesman". It was a passionate well thought out presentation on this great man as we recognized his stature among other great philosophers of time. It also happened to be the 150th anniversary of his assassination. What better way to pay tribute to this wise man. Thank you Past President Bob Attardo for the introduction and sharing your dear friend Joe with the club.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our annual Law Day luncheon May 5th and our Sunshine Campus clean up on April 25th!   Sign up today!

78th Rotary Award Recipient -
James B. Isaac

Jim Isaac Fine

"Jim Isaac may best be identified in the Rochester region for his key role in building an iconic company, Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning.  For those who know him, however, including his fellow Rochester and Monroe County Rotarians, Jim Isaac has built his greater reputation on a selfless dedication to our community.

It's no exaggeration to say that nearly every day of his adult life, Jim Isaac helps an individual or organization in need.  That he does it at all is a monumental achievement, but everyone who meets Jim quickly learns that he executes his service with as much joy as he does purpose.  Jim's quick smile and calm manner have put more than a few people at ease with difficult situations - even before he gets to the task at hand."

                 -  Bob Enright

This year's luncheon will be held Tuesday, June 16th at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
