Donna Dedee, my sincerest congratulations you will be a truly outstanding and inspiring leader of the Club in 2016/2017. Thank you for your dedication and willingness to lead this great organization.

I was delighted to have the opportunity to show the Treehouse video to our membership particularly as we had 130 in attendance along with our great guest speaker Bob Duffy! Thank you to Don for putting that great piece together for us.

As I mentioned some of our members have been asking how they can be involved with this project ... and we've listened. As you have probably already seen in your mail, we are offering each of you an opportunity to become part of the single most exciting addition to the camp in its more-than-90-year history. When you pledge to send children to camp, those kids are going to be amazed by this new addition.Thank you again to Peter Sarratori for sharing his dream and vision. This whimsical haven will be the perfect place this summer for our campers to make memories and experience something that they may have never been able to do. If you have any questions about the donation opportunities please contact the Rotary Office at 585-546-7435.

Although, I had to leave our meeting early on Tuesday I wanted to thank Barb Cutrona for introducing Bob Duffy and for helping to arrange for him as our guest speaker. I heard, as we all expected, Bob did a fantastic job during his presentation. We are so thankful to have him back in our community and working hard to help Rochester and the Finger Lakes continue grow.

Save the Date!

Career Day - School #8

Friday, June 12th

The Friendship Committee needs your help!

Do you know of any Rotarians who may be  ill?

One of the functions of the Friendship Committee is to visit Rotarians who are confined to their home, the hospital, a rehab unit or nursing home due to a sustained illness.  We have found that they really appreciate a visit.  But we need your help.  We can only make contact with those Rotarians who have been brought to our attention.  So, if you hear about someone who should be seen, please don't assume we know.

Please call Myrna at 546-7435 x201 to convey the information.

Thank you

What is going on in the district?

District 7120 Webinar Series

District 7120 has created this series of webinars so that every club can learn at a pace and time convenient to you and your members.  The webinars will also be recorded and available for viewing for at least 6 months.  You just won't be able to ask questions.

One thing I would like to mention is that while this is the Rotary District 7120 Webinar Series and is targeted specifically to Rotary Clubs, the webinars will be open to everyone.  So if you have a Rotarian prospect and think she or he might benefit from the information, please invite them to participate.  I am hopeful that we can also use the webinars as a recruiting tool.  These webinars will be free for everyone.

Interact Project at District Assembly

Interactors are doing a District Interact project and would like the help of Rotarians.  We are collecting small size tooth paste, tooth brushes, shampoos, conditioners, soap, washcloths, combs and brushes to make toiletry bags to be given to a women's shelter or kids in crisis (foster care).  These bags will be assembled at the District Assembly.  Our goal is 100 bags.  If your club could help collect these items and send them to the District Assembly or contact Mary Anne Cooper, District Chair at mcooper2@stny.rr.com.
