We have expanded our California Wine Tank, Redwood inventory!
Now, not only do we have Robert Mondavi and BV Wine Redwood staves, tops, and bottoms but, we also have clear, old-growth redwood from the Martini & Prati Winery.
In their past life, these Redwood staves stood 19' tall and aligned side by side to create a 20' wide wine tank. The tanks were an integral part of storing, fermenting, and aging the wine. However, as we move into the 21st century, wineries are moving to stainless steel tanks, thus making wine tank lumber available for new projects!
The Reclaimed Redwood lumber provides a unique rustic charm. On one side of the wood are strap marks made from the metal bands that held the wine tanks together. On the other side are deep maroon wine stains where the wine has penetrated the wood. For added charm, much of the lumber still has the faint aroma of tasty red wine!
