DECEMBER 2012
Beginners ABC's -- To teach dancers more effectively (& with more retention), we have 3 levels of Beginner classes. A-Newcomer, B-Beginning Month2 & C-Beyond Beginning. This is up to a total of 12 weeks of Beginner class to encourage the muscle memory a beginning dancer needs to become a competent & comfortable dancer.
NOTE: each class contains new material.
OUR MONTHLY SPECIALS ARE LISTED IN RED.

Dance Notes:
Our November FIRST SATURDAY DANCE was huge! And the Ballroom Dance Shoe Exchange was a great success! Thanks to everyone for joining us at the Ballroom! We will leave the leftover shoes in the small room for anyone who has need or would like to continue to keep the exchange going through December! IF YOU HAVE BALLROOM SHOES YOU DO NOT WEAR, BRING THEM IN!

Family & Homeless Shelter Donations:
The winter is here and there are many many homeless and families in need. We will be collecting ITEMS at the studio from Saturday DEC.1 thru Saturday, DEC.8 and will deliver on Sunday, Dec.9th.
Bring your donations of travel-sized toiletries, toothpaste, toothbrushes, disposable razors, spray deodorant, backpacks, twin blankets, jeans, coats, hats, gloves and lots of socks for all ages. As well as diapers and pull-ups, baby wipes, onsies and baby formula.
Some people live in cars or tents, and may have a few food stamps, but the above items take $$. If we can help provide for even a few needs....it still counts. This year's donations will go equally to the Portland Rescue Mission and to the Family Winter Shelter.

Linda Springstead, owner and operator of DanceWell, has been a premier instructor in the Portland area for 25 years. Instrumental in providing good form and technique for social dancers of PDX past and present, she is known for lively and fun classes and lessons for both Beginning and Advanced students. Other instructors: Rick Davis, Sergei & Larisa Rassk, Ariel Kaplan, trainee Patti Drewry.
