Worlds of Work expo will give students view of careers

Typically, a person would undergo years of study and training in obstetrics and gynecology before delivering a baby.
On Thursday and Friday, students from eighth grade through 12th grade will get to get an opportunity to know what it's like to be an OB-GYN, along with many other careers, during the Worlds of Work Expo at Shelton State Community College.
Through a simulation called "Noelle," students will learn about what it's like to be an OB-GYN.
The University of Alabama at Birmingham is one of the best U.S. midsize employers, according to Forbes' 2016 Top Workplaces rankings.
UAB ranks 24th on the list, which includes several universities and retailers like LL Bean and The Container Store.
Forbes used online statistics company Statista to analyze 1,900 American employers, all with more than 1,000 employees, and tracked employee satisfaction.
