By Penny L. Pool

Wednesday, October 1, 2014

A 25-acre site in the Randolph County Industrial Park in Roanoke has received the important designation of AdvantageSite, one of 50 in Alabama.

Sid Hare, chairman of the Randolph County Economic Development Authority (RCEDA) board, told everyone this is an important designation for the county and city. He thanked Cotina Terry, executive director of RCEDA, for her spearheading this and all the work she did on it. The previous board members did a lot of work and today's 11-member board provided support, he said. Jerry Cotney, the previous president, had set this very important goal.

RCEDA managed the application process locally with a team of local entities supporting and participating in the process.

The site at the intersection of U.S. Highway 431 and Bud Cummings Road is owned by the Randolph County Industrial Development Council.
