The LED professional Symposium +Expo was a huge success
Over 1,100 visitors from 34 countries attended the LED professional Symposium +Expo 2013 in Bregenz, Austria, last week. When asked for his impression of the event, Mr. Dietmar Zembrot, President of LightingEurope said, "I think this is one of the most important events in the world".
We would like to announce a new attendance record with more international visitors and exhibitors than ever before. The positive feedback from visitors, attendees, exhibitors, speakers and organizations show the relevance of this event. "This knowledge sharing event was well planned and not a single minute was wasted. I met many experts from around the world who shared their latest technology information with me. This is the most informative event I have even been to during my career. Thank you for making this the best information exchange event in the world", said Nor Diana Ruszaini Mohd Zin from TNB Research in Malaysia. This is just one example of the many positive comments received.
Both visitors and exhibitors alike appreciated the combination of an exhibition and symposium that covered the most relevant LED and OLED lighting technology topics. The outstanding quality is a trademark of the event and was pointed out by many attendees. "The Cree-Workshop was good, it was very hands-on! Often workshops are just lectures, but here it was quite interesting to do something in real life", said one of the attendees. Another one declared: "One of the highlights is the technical level! For me it has been very useful."
42% of all visitors were researchers and developers, project managers, engineers and manufacturers. There were a lot of in-depth discussions about further developments, innovations and solutions. "I think it is more the quality rather than the quantity of customer contacts. Here you have a more quality approach with the customers. We have a lot of customers we have seen from Spain, from Israel, in fact, from everywhere. I think the reputation of this fair is growing year by year", said Mr. Rosa, Director of Lighting at Arrow Electronics EMEA. Some of the exhibitors also reported that they had made a number of sales during the show.
