A Broad View of Philanthropy

Philanthropic Opportunity in the U.S.
|
Doesn't it seem that there are never enough resources to invest in the things that really matter? Whether we're talking about education and infrastructure at the national level or meeting the needs of families and communities in the Deep South or the Pacific Northwest, resource constraints are a fact of life. If you've followed the work of the Center, you know that we believe an untapped development resource is the philanthropic potential that exists in communities all across the country. To help kick-start a conversation about philanthropy, we've prepared a new U.S. Philanthropic Opportunity Profile that provides an accessible alternative to our more detailed Transfer of Wealth™ Opportunity Analysis. This profile is a good starting point for understanding some of the drivers of philanthropy and getting a picture of the potential for the country as a whole. The important question for community leaders, however, is what the philanthropic opportunity is in your particular place. To learn more about our Philanthropic Opportunity Profiles, go to Get Started on our website. If you want to be inspired by the innovative work that place-rooted foundations are doing all across the country, visit AdvancingCDP.org for stories and videos.

The Foundation is committed to fostering agriculture though its giving and granting programs.
