The Center understands the importance of collaborating with partners in the field. This month, we introduce WealthWorks, which connects community assets with the market demand.

The Center has been partnering with a number of other organizations over the past five years to demonstrate the potential behind a value-added approach to economic development - WealthWorks. This week, at the Rooting Wealth that Sticks forum in Little Rock, Ark., a number of these partners are sharing the exciting work they are doing in sectors to connect the assets in rural places to larger regional, state and even national demand. These stories have inspired us over the past few years as we see the promise in the wealth value chain approach being used in places as diverse as the Mississippi Delta, the Northern Forests in New Hampshire and Appalachian Ohio.

If you are interested in learning more about this work, there are a number of ways to engage. Go to www.wealthworks.org to learn more about the framework itself. Go to www.ruralwealth.org to engage in discussion with practitioners who are working to build local wealth, using WealthWorks and other approaches.
