Upcoming Public Professional Herbalist Training Webinar
Herbs of Israel
Instructors: Ruth Rosenblatt
This webinar is free and open to the public. Recordings will be archived at future date and accessible for AHG members anytime!
Ruth Rosenblatt will share her experiences with the wonderful vibrant plants of Israel, with those plants emerging out of 2,000 year old stone walls in Jerusalem and others that colorfully blanket the winter scene of the Judea Desert. She will discuss how they help us heal; how they respond to our call for help and make themselves available whenever they are needed. Wars go on, nations deported and replaced by others, but seeds stay put, dedicated to sprouting year after year, communicating an everlasting bounty of health and beauty.

A new Editor has been named for the Journal of the American Herbalists Guild: Susan Marynowski, M.S., an herbalist, educator, writer, and editor from Florida, will take the position in 2016. She replaces Anne de Courtenay, who departs the JAHG at the end of her 3-year term as Editor.
"I am honored to be of service to the American Herbalists Guild as the JAHG Editor," Marynowski said. "In addition to my passion for plants, I'm excited to bring my background in scientific writing and editing to the herbal world. I hope to continue the Journal's present level of excellence and thematic content and I'm excited about the possibilities of the new digital format."
In addition to her training in herbalism, Marynowski has a background in scientific and technical writing and has been serving as a communicator for nearly 30 years. She maintains a small herbal practice in Gainesville, leads local classes, teaches at the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery, and presents at the Florida Herbal Conference and other national conferences. She holds an M.S. degree from the University of Florida in Ecology with a specialization in Public Education and Evaluation. "I look forward to working with AHG members to effectively communicate about herbalism," Marynowski said. "I'm especially keen to polish and publish work from members who might not typically write for the Journal. I want to hear your ideas and receive your submissions."
