|
Greetings!
The posting of events does not imply an endorsement of the sponsoring groups or their political views. We post events sponsored by other groups when we think the topics will be of interest to CALC's members and friends. Often we have a close working relationship with those groups, but not always. Only CALC-sponsored or co-sponsored events carry our specific endorsement.

Cash looking for Entrepreneur Emerald F.E.A.S.T. January 31
Are you thinking of self-employment? Are you a small entrepreneur or organic farmer? Do you want to help your community? Friday, January 18 is the last chance to apply for a small grant which is set to be awarded on January 31! The upcoming dinner event is an opportunity to boost a very small entrepreneur with big ideas for helping the community. Emerald F.E.A.S.T. is looking for applicants who have a project that can be supported with just a small (think $500) infusion of monetary support and has a social benefit for the larger community.
The dinner on Thursday, January 31, 2013, 6 pm to 8 pm at First United Methodist Church, 1376 Olive St. in Eugene will be an "Hawaiian Luau." Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available. The quarterly dinners fund-raise instant cash grants to entrepreneurs through a mechanism called "crowd-sourcing," which is a powerful new form of democratic philanthropy in which small donors make a decisive impact on local economic and social resilience.

HIV Alliance supports individuals living with HIV/AIDS and preventing new infections. Today we ask you to help us in preventing those new infections.
A third of the people infected with HIV, do not know that they are infected. This undiagnosed population transmit the vast majority of new infections.
Only 42% of Oregonians have ever been tested for HIV. We want to change that. | |
