PTO Back to School Baseball Bash a HOME RUN!
We are pleased to report that the 3rd annual PTO Back to School Baseball Bash was a HOME RUN! We sold almost double the amount of tickets that we sold last year - we sold 750 tickets! That's a profit of $2,250 for the PTO! The event was so much fun, too. Our choir did an amazing job!

Singers for the Son Perform the National Anthem before the game.
Singers for the Son Perform the National Anthem before the game.

We had a tie for the student who sold the most tickets to throw out the first pitch - both in W8 - Cooper Pride and William Lewis. Both boys sold 75 tickets - great job! So you can imagine, the top class and winner of the Pizza Party with Klutch is W8 Mrs. Bush's first grade class!

We will have our Free Jersey Day this Friday, Sept. 2 for those students who sold 2 or more tickets. (And it's College Colors Day - so any sports shirt is fine!) Prize slips for those students have been given to the students (it is not necessary to bring them in on Friday). It is a Jeans Day or students may wear their PE shorts if they choose. For those students who sold 5 or more, they will receive a Mets souvenir soon. We will pass them out when we get them.

Thank you for your support of St. Anastasia and the St. Lucie Mets!

Thank you to Mrs. Cathy Langel for taking the photos during the Back to School Baseball Bash. A special Thank You to Chairperson Mrs. Keri Hughes for a successful event!

We couldn't have had such a great night without our sponsors! THANK YOU!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Fun in Kindergarten
On Friday, students in Mrs. Smith's kindergarten class enjoyed a special activity to wrap up their week based on the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Playing off the "Boom Boom" from the book, they popped balloons filled with letters. The children unfolded their letters, identified them, and then placed them in their correct location on the ABC chart. After the balloon activity, they prepared and ate their own Chicka Chicka treat!

Church News
Welcome to our New Parish Administrator
As the Pastor of St. Anastasia Parish, I am excited to announce the hiring of our new Parish Administrator, Mrs. Jean Wroblewski. The Parish Administrator serves in a key management position, reporting to the Pastor. Jean will be part of the core Administrative Team for the church, the school and the missions, ensuring that our Strategic Plan is implemented, updated and sustained. I am looking forward to Jean helping us to improve the efficiency of our administration as well the overall stewardship (time, talent and treasure) of the parish families.

Jean is a strong, devout Roman Catholic with over 30 years of extensive experience in finance, accounting, and operations; including plant management, permits and insurance for subcontractors. She has significant project management experience in managing both large and small scale projects and operations. Jean has successfully spear headed the creation of the accounting processes, back office support systems and the business plans for both a small manufacturing business and a large travel company.

Jean has successfully honed her expertise as a: financial leader, strategic planner, operations expert, effective leader and problem solver. She has also been involved in the Catholic School Management strategic planning process at St. Clare Catholic School, as the Communications and Marketing Chair.

Mrs. Wroblewski is joining us at the right time, to assist us, with our four goals of: Discovering/Rediscovering Christ, Following Christ, Serving the World and Building the foundation as we live out our Parish Mission as:
One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Please take the time throughout this month to step into the Rectory Office and introduce yourself, your family or just to welcome Mrs. Jean Wroblewski to our St. Anastasia Parish Community.
