We are very excited to announce that our students in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade now have tablets thanks to the generosity of the St. Anastasia Endowment Board of Directors. Through their fundraising efforts, they were able to provide nearly $40,000 to St. Anastasia school to purchase 250 Android tablets for use in the classroom by the students.

SGA Sweetheart Middle School Dance is Friday, Feb. 5
The St. Anastasia Student Government Association is excited to announce the Middle School Sweetheart Dance on Friday, Feb. 5 from 7-10 p.m. in the Parish Center. This dance is for students in 6th-8th grade. Pre-sale tickets are $7 and $10 at the door. SGA will sell tickets during lunch the week of February 1.
No jeans, shorts or sneakers. Tasteful dress is required. Skirts must be appropriate lengths. No crop tops.

Jog-A-Thon is Friday, February 5, 2016!
These adorable first graders are showing off the 90th Anniversary frisbees students can win for turning in a pledge form on Jan. 21!Each student obtains pledges, either by lap or as a single pledge, and on the day of the event, runs laps around a track. The laps are counted and students are eligible to win prizes based on how many laps they run. Pledges are then tallied and mailed to the sponsors for payment. Pre-K students will participate but will only run for 30 minutes. They will not carry lap cards, so sponsors should just pledge a flat amount. We have scheduled three (3) specific Turn-In Days for pledges. Turn-In Days are: Thursday, Jan. 21 (by 9 a.m.)* Thursday, Jan. 28 (by 9 a.m.) Thursday, February 4 (final day; by 9 a.m.) *If students turn in pledges on Thursday, Jan. 21, they will win a St. Anastasia 90th anniversary frisbee! The deadline to turn in pledges is 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 4. Click here for prize information and details. In order to participate in the Jog-A-Thon, students must turn in at least $10 in pledges. If turning in the minimum $10 pledge to participate provides a hardship for any family, please contact Mrs. Trabulsy in the Development Office. We want everyone to participate in this event! Students should plan on wearing P.E. clothes and tennis shoes on the day of the event. The students really enjoy this event, so we encourage you to involve them in obtaining pledges from family members and friends! We would also like to invite you to join us for the Jog-a-Thon - bring a lawn chair and watch the festivities! Or, if you need volunteer hours, this is a great opportunity to help. Uniform Jackets
Attention parents: As we experience some cooler weather this week, it's a good time to remind you that only school uniform jackets, sweatshirts and sweatpants may be worn on campus. The Uniform Store is stocked with jackets, sweaters and more. The Uniform Store is open Tuesday-Thursday from 7:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Thank you!

Rotary Club of Fort Pierce Donates Dictionaries to all Third Graders
Members of the Rotary Club of Fort Pierce came to St. Anastasia today to deliver dictionaries to each third grader. The students keep these dictionaries as their own. Thank you, Rotary of Fort Pierce, for your generosity!

Students in Mrs. Savage's 4th grade are celebrating 50,000 iXL grammar problems and 155 hours of work completed! Very impressive, 4th grade!

Lunch on the Lawn
To help kick off Catholic Schools Week, the St. Anastasia Church Friends and Family Fellowship Ministry presents the annual Lunch on the Lawn right after the 9:30 a.m. mass on Sunday, Jan. 31. Bring a packed lunch, a blanket and chairs, and join all of your friends and family for a fun picnic on the lawn outside of church. The ministry is providing desserts for everyone!
Save the Date - the Friends and Family Fellowship Ministry is presenting Screen on the Green on Friday, Feb. 5. There will be concessions and a great family-friendly movie. Drop the Middle Schoolers off at the dance, and enjoy a movie under the stars with the little ones! Details to follow.

St. Anastasia Catholic School's Anastasia's Attic Thrift Shop directly benefits our school. Your donations are so important to us. Please call for a pick-up of large items. Pick-up days are Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays. 772-467-1444. The drop-off box at school has moved a little to the west of the old location, but is still available for you! You may drop off items there or at the shop located at 3901 Okeechobee Road, across from Moonswiners (formerly Dale's Bar-B-Q).
Shop hours are:
Monday - Friday - 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday - 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Closed on Sundays
Every hour you work at the Attic will count for two (2) hours towards the volunteer hours you need at school!
The Attic is in need of working appliances to sell.
