Santa's Christmas Corner is almost here!
We need volunteers. Please click here to sign up!
___________________________________________
Attention parents:
SANTA'S CHRISTMAS CORNER
DECEMBER 1-3, 2015
Each year the PTO sponsors Santa's Christmas Corner. It will be held in Room 211 in the Media Center. This traditional program enables children to do their holiday shopping "on their own" under the supervision of parent volunteers. Please emphasize to your child that this is not an opportunity to shop for himself or herself. Merchandise is priced from $1 to $12.
On November 19th, we will be sending home a "shopping list" for students in grades Pre-K through 3. Please indicate on the "Shopping List" for whom your child will be shopping and the amount to be spent. This will be a big help for the parent volunteers who will be at Santa's Christmas Corner to assist the students. Please place cash or check in an envelope and attach it to the Shopping List.
To see when your child's class is shopping, click here.

Kindergarten News

Mrs. Smith's Kindergarten Class enjoyed another STREAM Unit. The theme of the unit was based on the book THE LEGEND OF THE INDIAN PAINTBRUSH. The students rotated through three educational activity centers while listening to Native American music. The centers included-
- Painting on "buckskin" just like Little Gopher, the main character in the story
- Designing their Native American necklace
- Designing their Native American Headdress with traditional symbols
Other educationally-themed activities and crafts have been done throughout this unit as well. Under the direction of Ms. Zrallack, the children performed in a play on Tuesday about the first Native American Saint, Saint Kateri. The children did a wonderful job!
Their STREAM Unit will be completed next week when the children shuck and cook corn on the cob and make homemade butter. What a yummy way to end the unit!

| Mr. & Mrs. John Langel; photo by Indian River Magazine |
Mr. John Langel's lifelong volunteer service and his many contributions to the school, parish, and community were celebrated Saturday night when family, friends, school staff, Anastasia's Attic employees, sponsors and supporters from the community gathered at the Parish Center for the St. Anastasia School Endowment Board of Trustees' Gala. Mr. Langel is a lifelong parishioner, St. Anastasia Catholic School alumnus, and a community volunteer extraordinaire.
One of the highlights of the evening's celebration of generosity and gratitude was a bountiful donation made to the Endowment by Jaxon Grimes, Mr. Langel's grandson. Generous sponsors of Saturday's St. Anastasai School Endowment Gala fundraiser also included the following: McAlpin, Cavalcanti & Lewis, CPAs; The Sharing Foundation; Peggy & Michael Monahan; The Bernard Egan Foundation; the Law Office of Kevin Hendrickson; Bill Wolf; HCH Partnership; Janie & Dale Reed; Sea Coast Air Conditioning; JSD, LLC; Dr. Gerard Flores, Nephrologist; White's Tackle; Josie Welch (in Memory of John Welch); The Law Offices of Fee, DeRoss & Fee; CenterState Bank; Adam J.
