Tonight:  6pm
Proverb Jacobs, Autobiography of an Unknown Football Player
Mr. Jacobs moved to Oakland from Louisiana as a 1 year old in 1936. He defied the odds and rose through school to play professional football and then go on to earn advanced degrees. He has played for the Eagles, the NY Titans, the NY Giants and the Oakland Raiders. Please come to meet this extraordinary man.

Tuesday we have a Power Hour at noon. Feel free to bring your lunch and meet Summer Brenner, author of Oakland Tales. It's the story of two kids with big problems to handle and they go back into Oakland's history as well as into its future to change their circumstances. You'll want this for the kids in your life, or just for yourself!
Great opportunity to bring a classroom of kids! Let us know.

Wednesday we will have the Oakland Heritage Alliance in the house. They will be presenting a new social way to highlight the contributions of its members and help people get to know more about Oakland's rich heritage. The Ebell Society for the Advancement of Women, in cooperation with the Camron-Stanford House will feature a talk by Reenie Raschke, Montclair photographer and Camron-Stanford House docent. The talk starts at 6:30.

Friday is First Friday and we will be showing off the work of Marshall Hasbrouck, Oakland painter. The reception for him is from 6 to 8 and his works will be up late next week.

Then Saturday, the 4th, we will begin adult art classes with Marshall Hasbrouck. It's a series of 8 classes over 9 weeks and they're only $20 per class! You can come to one, drop in to another or come to all of them. Please contact us to sign up as soon as you can. It will be a mix of drawing and painting inside and out on the Plaza.
**Last few days to see these!**

This month we are featuring the photographs of Steven Burchik. Steve will be here on Saturday, March 14 with his book Compass and a Camera about a year in Vietnam serving in the Army. He took his camera when he could and produced over 4000 images.
