Dear Reader,

We are settling in nicely here on Broadway! Meeting many new neighbors and customers and assessing the needs in our new home. Thank you to all who have visited already and if you haven't- please stop in soon.

There are many meters and lots for parking all around the store, we are on the Free B Shuttle line, and our Plaza door is steps from the 12th Street BART entrance to Ogawa Plaza.

If you don't know already, the Clay Street Garage, between 14th and 15th just behind City Hall has free parking on Saturdays.

Yes, free parking on Saturdays and it's just a short walk across Frank Ogawa Plaza from the store.

We are planning some interesting events already so please see below and plan to join us.

New books are arriving daily and we still order twice a week to get what you want quickly.

December 5th and 6th we'll be celebrating our opening with several happenings. It's the First Friday and then Saturday is the Holiday Parade which will go right by the store. Watch for details very soon!

This issue is all about events, but next week we'll get back to new releases in books!

And watch for wish lists from local schools and Fairyland. We are asking customers to donate a wanted book so that many more kids can have access to the newest and best books.

Happy reading,

Luan

Annie Weatherwax and her acclaimed first novel
All We Had
"Starting over in a small town after a series of poverty-induced hardships, 13-year-old Ruthie and her waitress mother, Rita, forge family-like bonds with the locals, only to fall for a subprime mortgage loan scheme that compels Rita to make a desperate choice.."
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and can easily see it becoming a very engaging movie. Meet Annie and ask her how it feels to have her first novel published!
