Sunday, June 1, 2014

Reservations Required

The Sunday Study Group has made tour reservations at the Tenement Museum (www.tenement.org) and the nearby Eldridge Street Synagogue (www.eldridgestreet.org) for Sunday, June 1st.

We will rendezvous at 9:45 AM at GRS, 1037 E. Putnam Ave. to carpool down to the Lower East Side.  The Eldridge Museum website lists several nearby parking lots.  There is an introductory movie at the Tenement Museum at 11:30 AM with the one hour Hard Times tour beginning at 12:00 noon.  That will leave us lots of time for a leisurely lunch.  We will make a reservation. Maybe we will eat off the pushcarts. See below.

The one hour tour of the Eldridge Street Museum will be at 3:00 PM.

In addition on June 1st Orchard St between Houston and Delancey will be celebrating its heritage with pushcarts, etc. from noon to 5:00 PM (www.lowereastside.com)

Limited reservations have been made and some are already spoken for. Please contact Laura to reserve your spot and send payment to GRS.
