Springing Ahead with the Reboot of the Religious School
Dear Friends,
Spring is here, Passover is soon to begin and we are at a time of new beginnings for the GRS Religious School! Indeed there is a buzz in the air of our congregation as we plan for a bright and exciting chapter for our children.
As GRS president, Robert Birnbaum, recently shared, Wendy Grinberg, Founder and Director of the Jewish Education Lab has been hired to serve as our educational consultant. Wendy comes with a wealth of experience having worked with countless congregations during her fifteen years of serving the Union for Reform Judaism. Most importantly, it was abundantly clear, as we explored potential consultants, that Wendy understands our congregation, our community, is well versed with the most current approaches to Reform Jewish education, and is extremely sensitive to the the demands, needs and priorities of our students and parents.
At present Wendy is working closely with members of our Education Committee, seeking to gather as much information as possible in order to design a vibrant, and current educational program which will truly meet the expectations of our GRS families. Wendy will also be looking for feedback to questions she has designed for the upcoming Measuring Success survey.
Every voice is important to us. We look to you to be a part of this process. Although we are at an early stage, our goal is clear: a dynamic, cutting edge educational program which will inspire our children, while ever respecting the many directions in which they are pulled.
Indeed our school will reflect the warm, inclusive and interactive "bimah friendly" philosophy which makes GRS the special congregation that it is.
Over the coming months, I will be sharing with you updates of the Reboot. As with any matter, please do not hesitate to contact me for any reason with questions, comments or thoughts.
With warm wishes to all for a beautiful holiday.
L'Shalom,
Rabbi Andy

Many of these events sell out quickly, so get your tickets soon and don't get sold out! Special Event Just Added!
