Heroes on the Water is growing!

There are chapters across the country that serve veterans, helping them relax and unwind while enjoying kayak fishing.

Find a chapter near you and get involved, volunteer, donate, and help raise awareness.

If there's not a chapter, consider starting one. It takes a team of dedicated people with a heart to give back. Click on How to Help to learn more.

Freedom on the Water

Independence Day is celebrated as a national holiday to commemorate the day the United States laid down its claim to be a free and independent nation.

A patriotic holiday, we enjoy celebrating the positive aspects of the United States by expressing and giving thanks for the freedom and liberties fought by generations of military service men and women.

As you celebrate this Independence Day...Please consider giving "Freedom on the Water" to those who have served our country, thus allowing you to celebrate Your Freedom today!

We've made it easy for you to make a donation directly to your closest chapter by clicking here.

We wish you and your family a Happy 4th!

The Canoe & Kayak Awards, sponsored by Canoe & Kayak Magazine, is a forum for the paddling community to recognize excellence in the sport. Winners are nominated by their peers and chosen by everyday paddlers.

Help us honor our warriors and the thousands of volunteers and contributors who make our unique kayak fishing program possible with this recognition.
