"I would very much like to send my warmest thanks and regards to you all. I was given a chance to go both fresh water and salt water kayak fishing for the first time [with Heroes on the Water]. It gave me a chance to not just relax but have a moment of peace that I have not felt in a very long time. It was as if I found something that I had been looking for my whole life. God Bless you all."

Happy Thanksgiving
from Heroes on the Water
Dear Friends,

Many of us look forward to gathering with family and friends for Thanksgiving and celebrating the many things for which we are grateful.

One thing we all can be grateful for is the service and sacrifice of the men and women in the United States Armed Forces - many of whom will not be able to spend Thanksgiving with their families this year.

We thank all those who serve or have served that we are able to gather and celebrate Thanksgiving in freedom and peace.

With hundreds of thousands of veterans returning home following the Iraq War and with the end of the war in Afghanistan in sight, it is important that we step up to honor, support and help our veterans and their families in our communities.

If you would like to express gratitude to our military, here are two ways:
Send a Card - Holiday Mail for Heroes Mailbox is open until December 6
Make a Donation to Heroes on the Water - $100 provides a Vet day of kayak fishing like Will Hunker experienced.

Wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,

Jim Dolan
