The School Of Prayer

Is Sunday, October 12th

Don't miss this opportunity to participate in the School of Prayer (SOP)! The School of Prayer reminds us that for every follower of Jesus Christ there are times of study to broaden and refresh our prayer life.

At the School of Prayer, we believe that the Holy Spirit puts an emphasis on prayer in the lives of every believer in Jesus Christ and we are therefore called to offer consistent training to equip believers with the knowledge and strategies that will help make them stronger intercessors, able to stand against the schemes of Satan and fight the good fight of faith.

So, in just a few days you will have the opportunity to experience this class at Central's Mesa Campus and learn about "Strategic Prayer" from guest speaker Andrew D.

Where: Mesa Campus - Worship Center

(933 N Lindsay Rd, Mesa, AZ 85213)

When:   Sunday, October 12

Time:    2-6 p.m.

Here's why you should attend the School of Prayer (SOP):

  • SOP has helped many attendees rekindle their fire for a more prayer driven and consistent prayer life.
  • It has provided participants with a newfound knowledge and a better understanding regarding prayer.
  • Many have recommitted devotion time to pray with God.
  • The instruction in the class provides Biblically-based and God-focused strategies to move to another level in prayer.
  • In-class practice exercises are included to reinforce the lessons.

One day and one session only!

You must register for this event.

Get more details and register for this event at www.CentralAZ.com/SchoolofPrayer .

If you want to experience more inspiration on prayer, we are also hosting Andrew D. during "Firmly Driven" on Oct. 10 & 11. Click here to find out more.

  24 SEVEN Starts In November!

24 SEVEN is an incredible movement of the Holy Spirit that will be happening live for 24 hours starting November 1st at Central Christian Church.

What is 24 SEVEN?

24 SEVEN takes place at Central every November and is an unusual place to pray. 10 prayerfully and creatively designed stations present an innovative approach to help participants focus on God in ways that are both uplifting and impactful.

In one-hour shifts, registered participants walk through station after station, quietly reading, focusing and praying through every station's scripturally based and spiritually moving story.

24 SEVEN is a powerful prayer experience that will take place at multiple campuses starting November 1st. It has helped many participants to focus on the reconciliation God wants with them through His Son Jesus, and has redirected many believers toward a deeper faith with Him.   Click here to read what some of the prior participants share about their experiences.

God wants to heal the broken areas of our lives and to refresh our Spirits. Whether you participate in person or online, one hour of your time is all that is needed for this special event.

We encourage you to make this a time of devotion to God through prayer and to plan for this time.  Sign up for one hour to participate. Registration starts October 4 at www.CentralAZ.com/247Prayer .

Join us. It will make a difference in your life.

Ministry Spotlight:  Service Intercession

"I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one." - Ezekiel 22:30

The Lord's dismay in Ezekiel 22:30 that there was no one to intercede to Him to turn away His wrath from destroying the land and stand in the gap reminds us that it is God's desire that every believer be active in intercessory prayer. Intercession to God to restrain others from sinning and to reform them must be a part of every believer's walk of faith.

Daniel was a humble servant of the Lord and true model for the intercessor. In Daniel 9, he approaches the Lord in prayer with a humble attitude and confession telling God of the unfaithfulness of His people while admitting His own unworthiness. He also exalts God and reminds him of his mercy and forgiveness as he intercedes on behalf of Israel.

Like Daniel, we as believers in Christ, are to come to God on behalf of others with a humble attitude, recognizing our own unworthiness and denying our own best interests. True intercession brings glory to God.

Service Intercession at Central brings believers together to pray for others, the church and the world.

Service intercessors are at every campus and show up at a designated location on the church campus 20 minutes before a service to pray for prayer requests received from the congregation. Prayers requested are sorted into different categories for service intercessors to pray over at designated service times.

Prayer categories include family issues, addictive behavior, prayer for the nations, marriage/relationships, health, and many more.

God calls all Christians to be intercessors. It is God's desire that every believer be active in intercessory prayer. What a wonderful and exalted privilege we have in being able to come boldly before the throne of Almighty God (Hebrews 4:16) with our prayers and requests.

So if you would like to become a service intercessor, please contact Jasmine.Faccone@CentralAZ.com .
