National Day Of Prayer And Fasting

"How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation." - Daniel 4:3

On May 1st, we will have an opportunity to pray together across the U.S. in unity for the Lord's healing and transforming power  over this nation. Standing together in prayer can change and touch many hearts and lives. There are so many meaningful times of prayer, and this is one of them.

There will be many churches and organizations across the country that will be participating and you can either locate them in your communities or just remember to pray for the nation from wherever you are.

Central Christian Church will offer an opportunity for you and others to locally observe this day on the Mesa Campus:

When:        May 1, 2014  at 7 p.m.

What:         National Day of Prayer (and Fasting, if you choose)

Where:       933 N. Lindsay Rd. Mesa, AZ 85213. In the Chapel.

When I Wept For Central
By Paul Covert

Last Friday night at our Easter Services I got texts from Mesa and Gilbert. Both had so many people for service intercession that they had to use both prayer rooms to accommodate all the people wanting to pray for those attending the service and for those who would yet be attending. When I received the texts I couldn't help but cry. You might wonder why. Well, for the last eleven years I have prayed and dreamed that the day would come when we filled both prayer rooms at the Mesa and Gilbert campuses for service intercession and it finally happened.

One hundred and thirty eight people showed up to pray for those who were attending our Easter services on all of our campuses.  They prayed hard and were amazed at how easy service intercession was to do and how fulfilling it was to join the team.   I invited all those who participated to come back and join in regularly since we do this every weekend.  One lady's response was precious, "Wild horses could not keep me away, I loved this!"

Another man was in the prayer room for the first time.  He confessed that he was nervous at first but when we finished I invited him to join us again and his comment was insightful.  He said, "This makes so much sense to pray for those who are here on this day.  It just makes great sense."

Time Alone With God:

A Meeting With God In The Desert

Time Alone with God is an opportunity for you to spend some time with God in prayer, reading and reflection as we head for Usery Mountain Range and/or South Mountain Range on the second Saturday of the cooler months.

Coming up on May 10th you'll have a chance to join us:

Meet us at 7 a.m. sharp on Saturday, May 10 in the NW parking lot of the Mesa Campus and carpool with us to Usery Pass. We will arrive back at the church by 12:30 p.m. If you drive yourself and meet us there, there is a park fee of $5 per car (which adds to the reasons you should meet us and carpool! It's just more fun going together!)

What do we do at a Time Alone with God event?

When we arrive, we go over some material to help you get started in prayer. Afterwards, everyone meets back up and talks about what they've learned.

You must register for this event at www.CentralAZ.com/Prayer .

Don't let anything stop you from this great experience!
