Christmas Outreach activities

Emmaus House

 

 

As part of our outreach program at St. Michael's, we are supporting two activities at Emmaus House. The ECW will be making up baskets of gift items for the Grandparent Party at Emmaus House which is held on Tuesday, December 11.

 

They are collecting items such as $10-20 gift cards to Target, WalMart, grocery stores.

Please leave your donations in the parlor by Sunday, December 2 to give them time to make up the baskets and purchase any additional items. Please contact Bonnie Collins at regarding any questions you may have about this activity.

The Youth Group will be wrapping and tagging items for the Children's Party on Christmas Eve. Please bring your donation of items for this program to the parlor by Sunday, December 23.

 

The Youth will be wrapping and tagging these items on all the Sunday's in December and will deliver them to Emmaus House after the 10:30 service on December 23.

 

We need gift bags and tissue paper to help with the wrapping. We have lots of wrapping paper left over from last year. Anyone that would like to help us wrap, please come to the Youth Sunday School room upstairs in Hensler Hall. Gift suggestions are listed below.

All Ages and Genders: Stuffed animals, balls, warm hats, scarves, gloves and socks.

 

Infants: Blankets, sleepers, diapers, wipes, baby lotion, powder, shampoo, drinking cups, educational toys and books. Clothing for 8 months and older.

Toddlers, 1 - 2 years: Girls, culturally sensitive dolls, tea sets, educational games, books. Boys, age-appropriate cars and trucks, soft footballs, and action figures. Boys or girls, musical & educational toys, stuffed animals, puzzles, games, back packs, art sets, building blocks, balls, crayons and coloring books, videos, and books.

 

3 - 5 years Girls: culturally sensitive dolls, jewelry, purses, barrettes & hair accessories, dish/tea sets, jump ropes.

3 - 5 years Boys: trucks, cars, and action figures. Boys or girls, sports equipment, backpacks, sleeping bags, stuffed animals, art & craft, sets magic sets, chalk, books and educational toys.

 

6 - 8 years Girls: culturally sensitive dolls, jewelry, purses, hair accessories, dish/tea sets, jump rope.

6 - 8 years Boys: trucks, car collections, and action figures. Boys or girls, Sports equipment, backpacks, duffel bags, sleeping bags, stuffed animals, art & craft and magic sets, chalk, science books, educational toys, games and videos.

 

9 - 12 years Girls:  inexpensive MP3 player, head set, MP3 speakers, science sets, jewelry, arts & crafts supplies, slippers, sports equipment, stuffed animals, back packs, board games, educational items, sleeping bags, books and DVDs.

9 - 12 years Boys: inexpensive MP3 player, head set, MP3 speakers, sports equipment, science sets, watches, arts & crafts supplies, back packs, board games, educational items, books and DVDs.

 

13 - 16 years Girls: gift cards, inexpensive MP3 player, head set, MP3 speakers, watches, jewelry, makeup kits, hair brush and comb sets, slippers, pajamas, perfume, purses, sports equipment, backpacks, books and DVDs. 13 13 - 16 years Boys: gift cards, inexpensive MP3 player, head set, MP3 speakers, sporting equipment, backpacks, board games, playing cards, cologne, shaving items, nail clippers, and sunglasses.
