Bring the whole family to Old Pasadena for a frightfully good time with Halloween fun, Day of the Dead Tour of Altars, and Day of the Dead Fiesta! All activities are FREE and open to all! 

One Colorado's Annual Pumpkin Decorating
Saturday, October 24 ~ 10:00am - 12:00pm
One Colorado, 41 Hugus Alley - (626) 564-1066 
Get busy with glue sticks and (washable) markers creating your own Great Pumpkin. Pumpkins are provided on a first-come first-served basis; all creations go home with their creators. 

Growl-o-ween at The Dog Bakery
Sunday, October 25 ~ 11:00am-1:00pm

Bring your pooch dressed to impress for a doggy Growl-o-ween parade around Old Pasadena, followed by a costume contest with prizes for the winners! 

Day of the Dead Tour of Altars
Friday, October 30 - Sunday, November 1
  • Take a self-guided tour hosted by participating businesses
  • Snap a photo of your favorite altar, tag it #OldPas in Instagram, and be entered to win one of three random $50 giveaways
  • $500 award to the Best Traditional and Contemporary Altars
Old Pasadena Halloween Celebration Trick-or-Treating
Saturday, October 31 ~ 5:00-8:00pm
  • Store-to-store trick-or-treating at more than 100 participating businesses
  • Meet and greet with costumed characters on Colorado Boulevard
  • The Dog Bakery is giving out treats to canine friends that are in disguise
  • Professional family photos in the One Colorado courtyard - pets are welcome, too!
Halloween Movie Screening of Mad Monster Party?

This classic 1967 Rankin/Bass romp is a fantastic flashback to stop-animation. Mad Monster Party? features all of the groovy ghoulies - Dracula, Werewolf, Mummy, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein's Monster, and more!
 
Day of the Dead Fiesta
Sunday, November 1 ~ 1:00-4:00pm
Mercantile Place (between Fairs Oaks and Raymond Avenues)
  • Day of the Dead face painting
  • Fun, hands-on craft activities hosted by the Armory Center for the Arts and Color Me Mine
  • Traditional Day of the Dead altar installation
  • Homemade paletas (popsicles) giveaway to the first 200 guests
  • Dressed in extravagantly plumed costumes, Aztec Fire Dancers will provide an authentic ritual performance

The City kicks off the NEA-funded Our Town Project My Pasadena with partner Side Street Projects. Visit their mobile outpost, then check out the featured project by Freewaves. The interactive sound installation is inspired by the lion motif of the courtyard architecture.
