Happy and Blessed
"This is the day the LORD has made,
let us rejoice and be glad in it!"
(Psalm 118:24)
Dear Praying Friend,
Praise the Lord! Today is a day of rejoicing. Our Savior is Risen! He is Risen indeed! What a glorious morning we celebrate - the Resurrection of our Lord! We have so much to praise God for; so much to be thankful for; so many reasons to glorify and magnify His wonderful name! Today we live in victory because of the sacrificial and atoning work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross. Because Jesus is alive, we have a glorious future, a marvelous message, and a wonderful ministry - to carry the gospel of Christ to the whole world!
"Praise be to the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great mercy He has given us new birth
into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead, and into an inheritance
that can never perish, spoil or fade -
kept in heaven for you,
who through faith are shielded by God's power
until the coming of the salvation that is ready
to be revealed in the last time."
(1 Peter 1:3-5)
On that day, the stone was rolled away and victory was won. "Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:54b-57). The message of the gospel rests on the death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the central truth of the Christian faith that gives believers the reason for the hope that we have, and the confidence to proclaim the message of salvation to the world. We have a glorious message to share with the world - the gospel of grace - the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ! Jesus lives! And if we have trusted Him as Savior and Lord, we can boldly declare - He lives in me! These next 40 days are meant to inspire and encourage all who believe to come out of the shadows and walk in the fullness of His glorious light - the light of eternal and abundant life that comes through personal faith in Jesus Christ. "I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life" (John 5:24). The key to our faith is the Word of God. As we journey through the pages of the Word of God, walking with Jesus as He walked with His disciples those 40 days following His resurrection, teaching them about the kingdom of God and preparing them to be His witnesses throughout the world, may our hearts be re-ignited with passion for God and His Word, and love for the lost who desperately need the light and life of Jesus Christ. As believers, ours is a living hope. May we walk in the victory that is our so that our lives become a radiant testimony to all that we have been with the Lord, and a witness that He has indeed changed our lives. "In Him was life, and that life was the light of men" (John 1:4).
"The LORD lives
Praise be to my Rock!
Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!"
(2 Samuel 22:47)
Thank for your willingness to travel these next 40 days together as we walk through the Word of God and unite in a concert of prayer from the Resurrection to the Ascension. May the journey be filled with sweet encounters with the Lord as He restores our hearts and fans that inner flame with His love, peace, joy and hope for the season ahead. "Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10).

God's Greatest Gift
Jesus Christ was crucified for the sins of the whole world, and resurrected from the dead so we could experience eternal life today. The Bible tells us, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved" (Romans 10:9-10). The Lord Jesus Christ wants to have a personal relationship with each of us, and desires for us to experience the joy of His salvation, and the freedom that comes through the forgiveness of sins, which is a gift through faith in Jesus Christ. If you would like to know what it means to walk in victory and experience the fullness of life that Jesus offers, then pray and ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you today. Call on the name of Jesus, and repent of your sins, trust Him as your Savior, and ask Him to become Lord of your life. Thank Him for dying on the cross for your sins, for forgiving you your sins and giving you eternal life. May His love, and the light of His glory and grace, fill your heart today. Grow in your new life by seeking the Lord in His Word and in prayer and worship each day, yielding to the Holy Spirit, obeying Him moment by moment, and fellowshiping with other believers.
