Dear Praying Friend,
The Christian walk is an amazing journey, but it is not without its difficulties and challenges. The enemy's objective is to cause God's followers to be so tripped up with temptation that their witness is ruined and the world will have no reason to believe in Christ.
As we meditate on Psalm 27:11-12 today, David sees the path before him filled with enemies who want to see him stumble and fall. He asks for God's guidance and protection so that his path will be smooth and the obstacles will be removed. "Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies - make straight Your way before me" (Psalm 5:8).
Many of the battles we face are from an invisible (but very real) enemy who places obstacles in our path to lead us into temptation and away from our relationship with the Lord. Let us pray for God's protection upon His children so that our way will be clear of obstacles and His message of grace can be delivered. The Lord is always faithful to deliver us; may He find us faithfully prepared to share His message and bring His light into this dark and fallen world.
"If You are pleased with me,
teach me Your ways so I may know You
and continue to find favor with You."
(Exodus 33:13)
Dear Heavenly Father, You are awesome and loving, righteous and just. You're eyes are ever upon us as we walk the path You have prepared for us. We ask for Your protection and Your hand of guidance so that we will not fall into the traps the enemy has laid for us to tempt us away from walking in Your will. Hold us steady when we stumble, Lord, and pick us up when we do fall. Forgive us for neglecting Your truth and allowing darkness to invade the light that illuminates our path. Help us to diligently study Your word - for it is the lamp that lights our way. Let our lives be fully surrendered to Yours so that we may radiate Your holiness and love to a world in desperate need of Your message of mercy and grace. Thank You for seeing that message safely delivered to us and for delivering us from a life of bondage to sin and death. Help us now to go forward, in Your protection, as bold messengers committed to walking the straight and level path You have laid out before us. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Steadfast in prayer,
