John has been one of Jill and Nancy's favorite mystery authors since they read his debut novel, The King of Lies. And as the awards attest, he just gets better and better with each book. Pre-Order the New Harry Potter Book
|
As I'm sure you've all heard by now, there's going to be a new Harry Potter book! Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts 1 & 2 is a new story that takes place nineteen years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The book is the script of a new play -- the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage -- that will premiere in London's West End on July 30th. It's based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany.
It was always difficult being Harry Potter, and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child releases on July 31st, but you can pre-order your copy today!

The Last Mile by David Baldacci
Convicted murderer Melvin Mars is counting down the last hours before his execution -- for the violent killing of his parents twenty years earlier -- when he's granted an unexpected reprieve. Another man has confessed to the crime. The confession has the potential to make Melvin Mars -- guilty or not -- a free man. Who wants Mars out of prison? And why now? Amos Decker, newly hired on an FBI special task force, takes an interest in Mars's case after discovering the striking similarities to his own life. But when a member of Decker's team disappears, it becomes clear that something much larger -- and more sinister -- than just one convicted criminal's life hangs in the balance. Decker will need all of his extraordinary brainpower to stop an innocent man from being executed.

Redemption Road by John Hart
John Hart's newest novel, Redemption Road, is a thriller. Innocents are dying, people are being chased and tortured, and the good guys are hard to tell from all of the bad. It is about Elizabeth Black, a decorated hero cop with a deep dark secret. But in addition to being a thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout, it is a compelling and very emotional story of love -- love that is sick and twisted, love that is so blind it allows horrible things to be done in its name, love so hidden by guilt it is hard to see, love born out of despair, and a love that is so pure and good it allows hope to shine through. It is obvious that John Hart has poured all of his heart and soul into this beautifully written story of sadness, despair, love, and hope.
