Book Signing with Debut Southern Author Elizabeth Harris
Greenville, SC, January 28, 2015 - South Carolina author Elizabeth Harris will be signing copies of her debut novel, What Am I to Do Now, Mama? (Archway, paperback, $17.99), at Fiction Addiction on Saturday, February 21st, from 10am-noon.
Charles Revis (a.k.a. Coy Bronson) left the mountains of North Carolina to follow his dream. His love for the entertainment industry led him to California, where he developed a career in acting, directing, producing, and writing.
The story begins during WWII, taking readers through California, New York, and back to North Carolina as Coy navigates the surprising world of show business. He forges connections with many actors and actresses of the day, including Ethel Waters, Charlton Heston, James Dean, Nick Adams, and Wayne Mallory. Later, Coy returns home and involves himself with local North Carolina theaters, taking his life in a different direction.
This books tells the true story not only of an entertainer in the golden age of Hollywood, but of his love and special connection with his Mama. Never satisfied with living a dull life, Coy was the kind of person who made things happen. In doing so, he encountered many unexpected mysteries, adventures, and obstacles. Through the laughter and the tears, Coy's Mama and family always encouraged him as he pursued his dream.
