Every Litograph design emerges from the text of a book. Just as the words on the pages of your favorite novel come alive in your imagination, Litographs products are designed to illustrate the memorable characters and scenes rooted in text and imitated on stage. They work closely with professional artists to create a new visual experience for classic and contemporary works alike. From a distance, the artwork illustrates a theme, character, or setting from each book's descriptive pages. Move closer and the text becomes fully legible. We are now carrying 12" x 16" prints and 18" x 24" posters of popular Litographs. These are great decorations for book lovers!

The inspiring and revelatory autobiography of the defense secretary and CIA director who led the intelligence war that killed Bin Laden, among many important roles in a legendary career. Like his career, Worthy Fights is a reflection of Panetta's values. It is imbued with the frank, grounded, and often quite funny spirit of a man who never lost touch with where he came from. It is also a testament to a lost kind of political leadership, which favors progress and duty to country over partisanship. Throughout his career, Panetta's polestar has been his belief that a public servant's real choice is between leadership or crisis. Troubles always come about through no fault of one's own, but most can be prevented with courage and foresight. As always, Panetta calls them as he sees them in Worthy Fights. Suffused with its author's decency and stubborn common sense, the book is an epic American success story, a great political memoir, and a revelatory view onto many of the great figures and events of our time.

Finkel follows the men from The Good Soldiers as they return home and struggle to reintegrate. He is with them in their most intimate, painful, and hopeful moments as they try to recover, creating an indelible, essential portrait of what life after war is like. And when they return, what are we thanking them for?

Family tragedy and guilt are too much for 16-year-old Jensen Reilly to handle by herself, but that is what she tries to do for 13 years. She abandons everything that defines her and starts a new life as an artist and model, eventually eloping with her art professor. Jenson is finally forced to face her past, her old friends, her family, and her first true love when her father is diagnosed with a brain tumor and she returns home to help care for him. Night Blindness is at times both achingly sad and uplifting, filled with a joy of life and love. It is a story of first love, family, grief, guilt, forgiveness, and how the truth can truly set one free. I loved every page and couldn't put it down.

I loved everything about this book, which surprised me as it is not historical fiction, romantic suspense, or a thriller, my typical genres. I was engaged within the first ten pages and did not stop reading until I finished the book. Mara and Scott, the two main characters, are faced with very different situations, but both are strong characters, and their flaws and struggles are quite real. The book is heart-wrenching, but such a representation of the struggles we face in life and how they define us should not be missed.

One of the most unusual and gripping psychological thrillers I have ever read. When Christine wakes up every morning, she remembers only what she does or is told during the day, but then after sleep, she starts all over again with no memories. We share Christine's confusion and her fears as she goes through a roller coaster of emotions reading her journal each day, not knowing what she's remembered or what she's imagined. She doesn't know who to believe or who to fear. We are carried right along for the ride by the brilliant writing and the vehicle that Watson has chosen to tell his story.
Recommended in hardcover by Nancy.
Read it before you see the movie starring Nicole Kidman.
HarperCollins - Release Date: 9/30/14 - Format: Paperback - Price: $15.99
A stunning story about poverty in North Carolina in the early 1960s. Ivy and Mary Ella live with their Grandmother in a workers' cabin on a tobacco farm. Jane, a recent graduate and bride, becomes their social worker, a job for which she has virtually no qualification other than compassion, which is not viewed as an asset by her co-workers. The story is based on a historical US eugenics program and would be a perfect book club selection.
Recommended in hardcover by Jackie.

City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett
After the death of its deities, the cities of the Continent struggle to find a reality unsustained by the miracles that made them, and its citizens struggle to make a new way of life with a censored history and not a single mention of anything divine. An accomplished spymaster for the rival nation and new world leader Saypur, Shara Thivani comes to the capital city of Bulikov to investigate the murder of a controversial historian and instead stumbles into a game of religious and political intrigue she'd never imagined in her wildest dreams...and the players might be more divine than anyone thought possible. An interesting philosophical look at the interaction of organized religion and politics as played out in a fantastical world in which gods can die at the hands of mortals and miracles can be outlawed.
