Susan M. Boyer is the debut author of Lowcountry Boil (Henery Press, paperback, $15.95), the first book in her Liz Talbot series. When her grandmother is murdered, modern Southern belle and private investigator Liz Talbot hightails it back to her lowcountry South Carolina island home to find the killer. Lowcountry Boil has recently been nominated for the prestigious Agatha Award.
Born and Raised in Faith, North Carolina, Susan has had a life-long love affair with books and writing. She currently lives in Greenville, South Carolina.
Vicki Lane draws together past and present, good and evil, folklore and secrets, mesmerizing readers with the mysterious bond of true sisterhood -- richer than blood, stronger than the passage of time -- in the latest book in her Elizabeth Goodweather series, Under the Skin (Bantam Books, paperback, $15.00).
The author of Anthony Award finalist In a Dark Season and four other books in the Elizabeth Goodweather series, Vicki lives with her family on a mountain farm in North Carolina.
Lee Mims is the debut author of Hiding Gladys (Midnight Ink, paperback, $14.99), the first book in her Cleo Cooper series. Geologist Cleo Cooper is either about to strike it rich or lose it all when she discovers a huge and rare granite deposit on her friend Gladys Walton's property. But Gladys has disappeared and it's apparent that someone is dead set on scaring Cleo and halting the project.
Lee is and always has been a North Carolina farm girl. Because of her love of the great outdoors, she has worked as a field geologist; and as a popular wildlife artist, she owns a self-named studio. She lives on a family farm in Clayton, NC, with her husband.
