We Did It--Now Let's Celebrate!

It took years of work and tens of thousands of people, but we did it! Thanks to all the comments you sent in favor of the proposed rule, the stories you shared, and the visits you made to your US representatives, home care workers across the country won federal minimum wage and overtime protections when the proposed rule was finalized last month. A victory this major calls for celebration.

Please join DCA's toll-free celebration call on Monday, October 28, at 8 p.m. Eastern time to honor this historic victory. Just call (866) 576-7975 and punch in participant code 121228.

After brief introductions and celebratory remarks from DCA's Carla Washington, Tracy Dudzinski and Jessica Brill Ortiz and a poem by direct care worker and DCA board member David Moreau, we'll open up the mic so you can share your thoughts and feelings about the new rule.

If you can't participate but there's something you would like to share with the group, please contact Jessica Brill Ortiz so she can share your thoughts on your behalf.

We hope you can join us!
