on the New Health Insurance Marketplace

Greetings!

Jessica Brill Ortiz

As part of the Affordable Care Act, every state must have a Health Insurance Marketplace--also known as a health insurance exchange--where individuals, families and small businesses can obtain health care coverage. Open enrollment though the Marketplace starts on October 1.

Please join me and presenters from Small Business Majority and Community Service Society of New York on September 24 for a free webinar on how these new exchanges will affect direct care workers and the small businesses that employ many of them. The webinar, which will be held from noon to 1 p.m. ET, is being convened by Direct Care Alliance's National Direct Care Partnership.

You'll also learn about DCA's new Get Direct Care Workers Covered campaign, an education and enrollment initiative that will ensure that the benefits of health care reform reach low-income and immigrant communities.

Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register now to secure your spot. And spread the word, if you know someone else who might be interested. Members of the media are welcome.

You can register here.

Best wishes,
