Home care workers left of out FLSA's 75th anniversary celebration

Today marks the 75th anniversary of FDR's signing of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). To pay tribute to FLSA's significance and recognize the over two million home care workers that remain excluded from some of its most fundamental protections, DCA has featured home care workers' stories about why they chose this profession and how minimum wage and overtime protections would have helped them.

We can't think of a better way to celebrate this landmark law than by doing right by the millions of home care workers who have chosen this career despite their exclusion from basic labor protections. Please take a few minutes today to urge President Obama to honor FLSA's legacy by giving home care workers reason to celebrate its anniversary.
