Meeting Recap Quick Links:
We would especially like to thank Deputy Mayor Niles for for sharing her past experience with the DC Collaborative and discussing her office's priorities for the public school education system in Washington, D.C.
- Cross Sector Partnerships- Coherence and logistical improvements in DC Public Schools and Public Charter Schools
- Optimizing City Resources- This includes inter-agency and community partnerships as well as the formation of a public transportation working group
- Equity in Outcomes and Programs- Making sure that opportunities in arts and humanities programming as well as, world languages and AP programs for students and teachers are equitable regardless of location.
Deputy Mayor Niles explained that "...equitable programming has always been at the heart of what you [DC Collaborative together with its members] do... together we can figure out ways to make sure every student has access to these programs."
Thanks Deputy Mayor Niles. We are excited to help with these initiatives!
