We endeavor to strengthen the B'nai Anousim (children of the forced ones) who are awakening to their true Jewish roots and to share our love and support for Israel. Our focus is on the Jews of Gibralter this week! There is also a story of Shavei Israel, sending emmisaries to Poland and to South America (Columbia).
My grandfather, Pantaleon Serrano and grandmother Felicitas (my father's parents) left from Andalucia and were allowed to immigrate to Mexico in the late 1890's because of persecution. Many of these Andalucian Jews also ended up in Gibraltar, that is now separate from Spain (under Britain).
This story, an apology after 500 years, is an interesting turn of events for the Anousim. May HaShem continue to bring us to light and restoration.
