We endeavor to strengthen the B'nai Anousim (children of the forced ones) who are awakening to their true Jewish roots and to share our love and support for Israel. In this issue you will find an amazing article on the Chuetas of Spain. The return of these lost Jews from Majorca is a story of overwhelming endurance. The "Playa de Muro", a beautiful beach, is found in Majorca. My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Muro...could this have been part of her background?
Hanukkah will be coming up very soon this month November 27th for an interesting Thankgivingukkah! We have included some great kosher latke recipes. Yum!

Majorca's Master Chef Returns

Sitting amid a sea of Hebrew books last week at a rabbinical court near Jerusalem, Tony Pina of Palma de Majorca, Spain, defied history and logic and achieved the impossible.
More than 500 years ago his Jewish ancestors had been forcibly converted to Catholicism. By any stretch of the imagination, their Jewish identity should have been lost long ago, swept away over the centuries through attrition, anti-Semitism or some combination of the two. Nonetheless, they held on, longing for the day when redemption would come.,,
