The Golden Spice

    

Turmeric may be one of the most effective nutritional supplements today. Many high quality studies have proven that this spice can have major benefits for your body and brain. Here are ten reasons you may want to add Turmeric to your diet. Dr. Andrew Weil recommends you look for supercritical extracts in dosages of 400 to 600 mg, and take three times daily or as directed on the product. 
 

Turmeric Contains Bioactive Compounds with Powerful Medicinal Properties the most important of which is Curcumin. It is this ingredient which helps give Turmeric these medicinal properties. Because of this, many of the studies use Curcumin as the supplement of choice in pill form.

There are some warnings to consider when taking Turmeric/Curcumin- Turmeric might slow blood clotting. Taking turmeric along with medications that also slow clotting might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding.
