SupplementsThat May Help Ease the Effects of Menopause

 

Whether you are male or female you may know someone who is suffering from the many effects menopause can have the body. As women begin to lose estrogen the body can go through a multitude of symptoms that at times can seem grueling. Here are a number of supplements that have been used effectively to help decrease these symptoms.

 

Black Cohosh- can help minimize hot flashes

Calcium- to help prevent bone loss

Flaxseeds and Flaxseed oil- can help ease night sweats

Vitamin D- at least 600 iu's for bone health

Wild Yam- alternative to hormonal replacement

Ginseng-may help improve mood and sleep

St. John's Wort- may help improve mood swings when combined with Black Cohosh

DHEA-may ease a number of menopausal symptoms

Dong Quai- can help with minimize hot flashes
