Why Am I not losing weight???

How often have you heard this or thought about this?? No matter what I do, I don't lose weight. Even with as little as a ½ a cup of ice-cream, I will gain weight the next day.

What is it that is making it so difficult for you to lose weight? Desperate attempts to lose weight can be so frustrating and create a real stress in our lives.

There can be a number of reasons that effect weight loss. For example, do you really know what you are consuming? Are you aware of all the extra calories you can consume from eating out too often.  

 

Can you make better choices?? Can you be more aware of your body and how it works. Yes, you can. How? By educating yourself and your family.

 

1) Look at the nutrition facts label and look at the sodium & sugar content.

2) Remember, the front of the package can be misleading but the back of the package (nutrition facts panel & ingredient list) will always reveal the truth.

3)  Look at the ingredients: The food industries are supposed to list the foods on the ingredient list in the decreasing amount of their usage to make the food. The first 3-5 ingredients listed are the ones used to a high extent.

4) Increase your physical activity, and change up your workouts.

5) Make sure you are getting enough Vitamin D.

6) Visit your Doctor and have your hormone levels checked

7) You're stressed and not finding balance in your days. High stress= High Cortisol levels = Weight gain

8)You need more sleep, not enough sleep will impact your weight loss goals

9) You may need more protein in your diet.

10) Finally, embrace good fats!!!! Good fats are so important to your brain and for making hormones that will help you lose weight.

 

 

Play a fun game of kickball and burn approximately 100 calories in 12 minutes!!!
