Now is the time most people are just starting to think about their resolutions for the New Year. Weight loss and fitness is usually right up there on the very top. Why not start your New Year's resolutions early this year. These little steps can help you be on your way to optimal health and wellness before the clock strikes 12:00 on Dec 31st.
Skip the snack isle at the grocery store
Cook one more meal at home than usual
Make two positive changes a week in your diet
Clean out your pantry and fridge of all unhealthy foods
Create a healthy shopping list with lots of protein, fruits and veggies
Add up to 30 minutes extra of exercise a day in 5 minute increments
Make sure you have a healthy breakfast of at least 200 to 300 calories
Swap one meal a day with a healthy protein shake
Change up your cardio routine and try a new piece of equipment
Hire a personal trainer to help you meet your goals in a safe, effective way
Get yourself a new pair of sneakers if yours are over 6 months old
Try adding different types of exercise to the current exercise you are doing
Add meditation to your daily routine
Cut out night time eating. Try not eating past 7:00 pm at least 5 nights a week
Make sure you drink your 64 ounces of water a day
Add lots of veggies to your current meal plan to fill up
Create a new song list on your I pod to keep you motivated and walking longer
