           Benefits of Monounsaturated Fats

When substituted in place of saturated fats, foods both high in mono and polyunsaturated fats can help in the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
However, when it comes to polyunsaturated fats, they may lower both our good and bad cholesterol levels. Monounsaturated fats help lower total cholesterol, LDL, and Triglycerides.They do not affect HDL levels or our good cholesterol. Best places to find this type of fat are;

Almonds
Cashews
Peanuts
Pistachios
Sesame seeds
Sunflower seeds
Flax seeds
Olive oil
Canola oil
Peanut oil
Avocado

It is important to note this does not mean unlimited consumption of Monounsaturated fat is a good thing . Remember moderation is always the key to success.
