2013 Fall Superfoods!!!! 
Fall is soon approaching and the cool weather is on it's way. This is the time of year where certain fruits and vegetables are in abundance. The following list are what we call superfoods because of the nutrients they contain for our optimal health and well being.

Apples- 4 gms fiber and filled with antioxidants

Brussel Sprouts- good source of vit K, folate and iron

Parsnips-great source for potassium and fiber

Pears- good source of vit C and fiber

Rutabaga-good source of fiber and vit c

Cauliflower- excellent source of vit c and phytonutrients

Squash- contains omega-3 fatty acids and vit A

Pumpkin- rich in potassium ,fiber and B vit's

Sweet Potatoes- excellent source of Vit A and Iron

Turnips-rich in vit C, K, A and folate

Pomegranates- high in vit C, antioxidants and folate

Dates- low in fat and high in fiber and potassium

Kiwi- great source of vit C, potassium and copper

Grapefuit-great source of vit C, pectin and lycopene

Tangerines- good source of vit c and beta-carotene
