Carbs  are Not a Dirty Word :) 

The word carbohydrates still seem to conjure up visions of gaining weight for many people. Fad diets are still preaching that carbs make you fat. The truth of the matter is that carbs do not make you fat, it is the type of carbs that you consume and your overall caloric intake that is the precedent for gaining weight.  Eating a diet packed with the right kind of carbs is the little-known secret to getting and staying slim for life.Here are some examples of the right kind of carbs to include in your diet.

Vegetables, fresh

Fresh Fruit

Whole wheat pasta

Oats,

Brown rice

Wild rice

Sweet potatoes

Raisins

Quinoa

Black beans

Kidney beans

Lentils

Red beans

Greek yogurt

Dates

 

These carbs have not been overly refined, they retain far more of their fiber and nutrients than simple, more processed carbs, like pastries or white breads.These complex carbohydrates are your bodies main source of energy and are needed by your body to simply function in your day to day activities and even more important if you are exercising!!!
